10 Things We Learned from Pinterest About Beauty
When you need advice, a pick-me-up, beauty tutorial or just a lovely picture, where do you turn? More and more we’ve been turning to Pinterest as a great source for all things beauty, health & wellness and inspiration. This got us thinking – What are some of the best things Pinterest has taught us about being a better person, feeling beautiful and enabling us to be more efficient? Here’s our Top 10:- Eating healthy doesn’t have to be hard or boring. From cutting your kid’s sandwich into a star, to easy and healthy recipes, we now turn to Pinterest even before we go to Food Network, Martha Stewart or Rachel Ray!
- Beauty comes in all different shapes and sizes. It’s important to remember that the media’s concept of beauty is not It has come in almost every shape and size over the past 100 years. So if your natural beauty is not “it” right now. Don’t fret. It will be (even though it’s already perfect just the way it is!)
- The most beautiful things are natural. The Creator really knew what they were doing. All one has to do is look around. Beauty surrounds us everywhere in nature. How lucky are we?!
- Laughter truly is beautiful! Audrey Hepburn said, “I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it’s the thing I like the most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It’s probably the most important thing in a person.” We agree!
- Upcycling is beautiful! From a quick sweep of Pinterest, it seems that EVERYTHING can be reused or repurposed. We’ve found some especially great beauty tools and storage tricks!
- No matter what is bothering you….there’s a quote for that. Miss your kids? There’s a quote for that. Not loving how you look lately? There’s a quote for that. Having trouble getting out of bed? There’s a quote for that. For any of life’s downer moments, Pinterest has the quote to pull you out of your funk!
- People really DO do the right thing. Great examples of humanitarians. Quotes about doing the right thing. Groups that ensure big business is doing the right thing. Pinterest is full of people who believe doing what’s right is beautiful! (Hint: We’re one of them!)
- There’s an infographic for everything. (Thank God!) Infographics make DIY, tutorials, statistics and just about everything that can get remotely complicated simple, easy and, most of all, PRETTY!
- We never have to freak out about a last minute date again. Go from no makeup, to daytime makeup, to the perfect night out makeup in just a few steps with all the tips and tricks straight from a beauty expert.
