We are dedicated to the natural origin, purity and safety of the ingredients in our products and are committed to the use of natural ingredients¹.  All of our products are free of phthalates, parabens, glycols, sulfates, ethoxylates, formaldehyde donors, GMOs, artificial colors, and petroleum derivatives.  The preservatives in our products are a combination of natural anti-oxidants which keep oils from turning rancid, plus broad spectrum preservatives which boost the action of the natural preservatives and provide protection against bacteria, microbes, yeast, fungi and molds.  The fragrance in our products are derived from natural essential oils, or distillates.

OUR 13 KEY FOUNDATIONAL INGREDIENTS
Stemology products are built on a foundation of 13 key ingredients that are almost universally agreed to be critical in keeping a healthy and pleasing skin appearance.  All 13 of these ingredients are backed by scientific studies and/or clinical studies.  The majority of our competitors only feature only two or three of these ingredients, but Stemology products include all 13.  In addition to this powerful foundation, each Stemology product, then adds certain unique specialized actives related to the product purpose, plus, of course, SRC-7 our patent pending Skin Stem Cell Activation complex.

The 13 foundational ingredients in Stemology treatment products are as follows:

1. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) – An active ingredient with an extraordinary breadth of cutaneous benefits that make it perfect for a skin care formula. It stimulates cell metabolism, stimulates collagen fibroblast production, aids in epidermal ceramide synthesis, and enhances the skin's ability to decongest and clear acne while also evening out skin tone, for a smooth complexion.
   
   
2. Panthenol (Vitamin B5) – Present in all living cells, Panthenol is an excellent humectant for the skin, restoring or maintaining good hydration. Plus reduces skin redness and irritation.
   
   
3. Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Stabilized Vitamin C) – Specialized vitamin C compound that does not break down in topical application. When properly delivered into the skin Vitamin C is a real “work horse” product.  It is necessary for collagen production which aids in wrinkle reduction, is a powerful antioxidant, and provides a lightening effect on dark spots for a more even tone.
   
   
4. Coenzyme Q10 – Critical to the production of energy in every cell of the body, COQ10, is a powerful antioxidant, that also has potent anti-aging effects on skin. It helps to prevent damage to collagen and elastin and promotes a more youthful cellular metabolism.
   
   
5. Alpha Lipoic Acid - Often called the perfect antioxidant, alpha lipoic acid protects skin from free radical damage and enhances cell metabolism and cell growth. Also referred to as Thioctic Acid.
   
   
6. Hyaluronic Acid – The most effective humectant in nature which can retain 1000 times its weight in water. It is one of the chief components of the extracellular matrix contributing significantly to cell proliferation and migration. Effectively binds moisture which plumps the skin to provide an anti-wrinkle effect.  With age our production slows down and supplementation is needed.
   
   
7. MSM – Pure organic sulfur (DMSO2) that is found in all plants and animals. Sulfur is often called nature’s beauty mineral since it is necessary for both collagen and keratin production, which helps to keep the skin smooth and youthful.  It is also an excellent carrier of actives into the skin for enhanced absorption.
   
   
8. Fatty Acids – Important lipids derived from plants that provide the building blocks for ceramide production, which is needed for a healthy skin barrier. Some of these fatty acids are Omega 3, 6, & 9 EFA’s (essential fatty acids) that aid in cell development and the formation of healthy cell membranes.  Certain plant oils found in Stemology are rich in EFA’s.
   
   
9. Antioxidants – Stemology incorporates certain plant extracts & oils that are antioxidant rich. Antioxidants (Flavonoids, Carotenoids, Polyphenolic acids, Tocopherols) protect the skin from environmental damage due to UV exposure and pollution which is a major cause of skin aging.  All Stemology treatment products are rich in antioxidant ingredients.
   
   
10. Aloe Vera - Effectively moisturizes the skin with polysaccharides. Stimulates fibroblasts to replicate faster, producing more collagen and elastin. Aloe improves the skin’s ability to hydrate itself, aids in the removal of dead skin cells and has an effective penetrating ability.   Helps to fade dark spots and even skin tone.
    
    
11. Sea Kelp Bioferment – All the great moisturizing benefits of sea kelp that also delivers a high concentration of vitamins, minerals and beneficial phytochemicals in a more bioactive form due to fermentation.
    
    
12. Sodium Lactate – The sodium salt of lactic acid produced by the fermentation of sugar. Sodium Lactate is second only to hyaluronic acid in water holding ability and is one of the Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) found in skin and required for the maintenance of natural hydration.
    
    
13. Amino Acids – The building blocks for collagen and elastin – Glycine, Proline, & Hydroxyproline – when applied topically have been shown to directly increase the synthesis of collagen. Increased collagen production decreases sag and reduces wrinkles.

Add to these the latest in science-based specialty ingredients that are naturally sourced, which address specific product aims, plus our unique SRC-7, and you have a naturally sourced product built on solid science, that provides a complete suite of quality ingredients in a formula you can trust to be effective.  That is why we often add “Complete” to the names of our treatment products.

Some might say, “with all of those ingredients included, you must use very small amounts.”  But, that is not so.  We use rich concentrations of each ingredient based upon the manufacturer recommendation or upon the scientific study recommendation.  We are not interested in just enhancing a label; we want Stemology products to be effective and our customers to be so satisfied that they buy again and again.
