Fall In Love With Yourself
Simple Tips For Loving Yourself…And Your Skin
It's Valentine's Day and everyone is feeling the love. You should be too…by falling in love with yourself and your skin! We believe that feeling good about yourself – loving yourself - is one of the most important things anyone can do. So let’s take some time this Valentine’s Day (and everyday!) to develop a deeper love and respect for our own personal beauty!
-
Embrace your unique YOU!
Everything that makes us unique, including the way we look, is what makes each of us exceptional and irreplaceable. But for many women (and men) loving how we look can be our biggest challenge. Start reworking how your brain perceives yourself by acknowledging and then letting go of any negative self-talk. Whenever you begin to think “I’m fat” or “I look old” or any other negative thought you may have about yourself, tell the thought “Thank you for serving me in the past, but you no longer serve me. I am
.” -
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.
Studies have shown that even mild dehydration can influence mood, energy levels and the ability to think clearly. Water replenishes, rejuvenates and rids the body of toxins. (After all, our bodies are made up of 75% water!) Without water, the body cannot perform at its highest levels. Invest in a durable, BP free, reusable water bottle and keep it with you at home, at work and in the car. -
Update your skincare regimen.
Skin is the largest organ of the body and devoting time to its maintenance is not time wasted. The skin on your face can be especially complex, oily here, dry there, sensitive in other areas…not to mention that it is constantly changing as we get older. There are three parts to a complete regimen: cleanser, treatment serums and moisturizers. Understanding the importance of a skincare regimen will help you to feel that your outside matches the beauty of your inside. -
Affirm the positive.
We encourage those around us throughout the day, so why not turn the positive reinforcements toward ourselves? It’s an easy addition to your daily routine – in fact it can be done anywhere! And while positive affirmations might feel awkward in the beginning, the more you do it, the easier it will be and the words will have a greater impact on your state of mind. The way we look on the outside is interconnected with how we feel on the inside. Find a few positive phrases (maybe start with just a few positive words) and repeat them throughout the day. You’ll soon notice the impact all over your face!
February is all about love - showing love, being in love and celebrating love. It’s everywhere and in everything. Do a few simple things to show yourself a little love this February. When you love yourself, you can truly love everyone around you, wholly and completely.
